Oedipus Complex and Another Baby

Yesterday before Zane got ready to leave I said give mommy a hug before you go. He came over and gave me a hug and then planted a 50's movie star kind of kiss on me. You know, the kind of kiss you would practice on the back of your hand, the way you thought you passionately kissed before you learned about the whole tongue part. I started laughing and asked what kind of kiss was that? He seemed embarrassed and didn't say anything.
I asked, "Have you see people kiss like that on T.V.?"
Still just silence.
I said, "You just love mommy a lot, huh?"
He said, "Yes."
And we left it at that.
Then later that night he said we should make another baby. I started to get worried but then I remembered he has no idea how people make babies and he just meant us as a family not specifically him and I. This started a long discussion about the fact that he doesn't think two kids is very many and that he really really really wants a brother. That he wanted Fiona to be a boy and she wasn't and she likes too many girl things to just make her a boy.
Me: You know there is no guarantee that the next baby would even be a boy.
Zane: That is what wishing wells are for, all we have to do is go to the well and make a wish and it will be a boy.
Me: What if someone else, like Fiona, wishes for a sister?
Zane: Well, we have to make sure that we tell EVERYONE to only wish for a boy baby.
Me: Would you want another baby if it was a girl?
Zane: No.
Me: I'm pretty tired and I don't know if I can handle another baby.
Zane: Don't worry, mommy, I will help you. He can be like my baby.
Me: Do you remember how much I threw up when I was pregnant with Fiona? I don't want to be sick again. And babies are a lot of work. They have to learn to sleep and I have to breastfeed them. I don't think I have the energy Zane. Maybe we could just adopt a boy who is close to your age and then he could be your brother.
Zane: OK, we can adopt a boy but he needs to be a baby and you can just give him a bottle.
